About Karthik
I am Karthik, currently pursuing my MTech in Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, after completing my BTech from National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh. Mathematics and analytical problem solving have always been among my strongest interests, and I enjoy helping students understand concepts in a clear and structured way.
My teaching approach focuses on conceptual clarity, logical thinking, and problem-solving ability rather than rote memorization. I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, patience, and practice. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can freely ask doubts and gradually build confidence in the subject.
I teach Mathematics for higher secondary school students and core Chemical Engineering subjects for BTech students. My classes are interactive, systematic, and tailored according to the student’s current level and goals.
Having prepared for and cleared competitive examinations like JEE Mains and GATE, I understand the importance of strong fundamentals and disciplined preparation. I try to bring the same structured approach into my teaching as well.

My approach as a teacher is centered around building strong fundamentals and improving problem-solving ability rather than encouraging rote memorization. I believe students understand subjects better when concepts are explained intuitively and connected logically to applications and numerical problems.
For Mathematics, especially for higher secondary school students, I focus on step-by-step understanding, analytical thinking, and developing confidence in solving problems independently. I try to make students comfortable with concepts before moving toward advanced questions and competitive-exam style problems.
For Chemical Engineering subjects at the BTech level, I focus on conceptual clarity, derivations, numerical problem solving, and understanding the physical meaning behind equations and models. I also help students improve their approach toward assignments, exams, and technical thinking.
A typical class usually begins with a brief discussion of concepts, followed by worked examples, guided problem solving, and practice questions. I encourage students to ask doubts freely and focus on creating an interactive learning environment.
As someone currently pursuing an MTech in Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Science after graduating from National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh, I understand both competitive exam preparation and university-level academics closely, which helps me guide students in a practical and structured manner.
