About Cordelia
As a tutor, I want my lessons to be interactive, relaxed and personal, creating a space where learning feels natural rather than formal. My background in English Literature and Language, combined with my experience in public speaking, debating, reading with primary school children and supporting younger students, has taught me how important it is to communicate clearly while making people feel comfortable and heard. I believe English is more than just words; it can be expressive, creative and almost poetic. I want to help my students understand literature and language in a way that feels relevant to them, using simple explanations, relatable examples, discussion and creativity rather than making learning feel overwhelming. I am patient, approachable and encouraging, and I understand that every student learns differently. My aim is not simply to help students improve their grades, but to help them find their own voice, become more confident in expressing their ideas and develop a genuine appreciation for English. I want every lesson to feel like a conversation where students are involved, encouraged to ask questions, comfortable making mistakes and able to see that they are capable of more than they may initially believe.
During my GCSE I attained grade 8&7 in English Literature and Language and I am predicted to get AAB in English Literature, History and Politics A-level

My tutoring lessons will be interactive, relaxed and personal, creating a space where learning feels natural rather than formal. I want my students to feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions and making mistakes without fear. I believe English is more than just words; it can be expressive, creative and almost poetic. I will use simple language, relatable examples and engaging conversations to help students understand not only what they are learning, but how they can use it confidently in everyday life. My aim is to make every lesson feel like a conversation where learning happens naturally and each student feels heard, encouraged and involved.
