I always strive to put myself in positions to support other people. Whether it is guiding sixth graders through home activities and scientific exploration or bringing my whole team up to greater heights in Track & Field, teaching others has always been something I've naturally excelled at. That coaching ability in tandem with my success in standardized testing has pushed me to help others succeed too.

Hey, I'm Hector! I am a HS Junior with experience tackling and succeeding in standardized test prep. I come into preparation with a mindset focused on two things: base knowledge and testing strategies. Testing strategies are essential, knowing how to discern the answer when it may be a subject that lies outside a student's area of expertise. We don't want to plan for failure, but it's important to give kids not only the tools to succeed, but a safety net to help guarantee success.
A typical lesson plan for a high school student would start with a focus on weak links in their knowledge, and then move through practice problems and tools. We would focus on things such as utilizing the tools given, decreasing time taken on questions, and preparing students for the stress of test-taking.
