About Aiyana
Hello, I'm a composer and educator who loves working with students of all levels and ages! I'm happy to meet you, wherever you may be in your studies. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, just beginning to write music, or looking to take your writing to the next level, I’m excited to work with you!
I'm a graduate of the The Juilliard School, the Curtis Institute of Music, and have written music for the New York Philharmonic, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Berkeley Symphony, and other prestigious ensembles internationally. My music has been featured on NPR’s From the Top, PBS’s On Stage at Curtis, and my mentors include Pulitzer and Grammy-winning composer Jennifer Higdon, Pulitzer Prize finalist and Grammy-winning composer Ted Hearne, and David Serkin Ludwig, Dean of Music at The Juilliard School.
I'm fortunate to have received awards from the BMI Foundation, ASCAP Foundation, American Composers Forum, Copland House, and NYU’s Center for Ballet and the Arts, and others. Feel free to check out my website at (concealed information)

I love teaching Music Theory, Composition, Orchestration, Arranging, Songwriting, and Piano. I am experienced working with all ages and experience levels!
Course I've taught at the Undergraduate and Graduate level at a variety of universities includes Music Theory, Ear Training, Orchestration, 20th and 21st Century Composition Techniques (Serial, and Non-Serial Atonality and beyond!), Composition, Counterpoint, and Form & Analysis.
