About Serina
Hi, I’m Serina
I specialise in private Japanese lessons for children, offering fun, confidence-building and fully personalised learning.
My teaching is based on five years as a primary school teacher in Japan and two years working in early childhood education in Australia, which have strengthened my observation, planning and practical teaching skills.
Each lesson is carefully adapted to your child’s interests, helping them learn Japanese as a language to express their own thoughts and curiosity, not just memorise words.

Before the first lesson, I ask a few questions via message to learn about your child — their interests, current Japanese level, and what sparked their curiosity about Japanese.
Based on this, lessons are planned to match each child’s level from the very first session.
By using topics your child enjoys, I create a relaxed and engaging learning environment where Japanese feels fun, meaningful, and accessible.
