About Jamal
Jamal's musical journey isn't just limited to just drumming, as he's also a solid bandleader, composer, and songwriter, as well as an active performer for several projects within Manchester. Mentored and tutored by legends such as Myke Wilson (Texas, Swing Out Sister), and the legendary Dave Hassell, Jamal himself understands the need to be a student of the Music world, and how to develop not only the necessary musical knowledge and application, but also musical empathy and psychology.

Jamal is a Manchester-based drummer, with over a decade of experience ranging from session work, touring, to teaching. Whether you want to pursue Pop drumming, Jazz, Funk, or want to learn to improvise, Jamal's lessons are tailored to your needs. He stresses the importance of grooving, flexibility and versatility in drumming and will teach you with the aims to get you performance ready, and he will also help you navigate through the world of music should you want to pursue it as a career.
