About Gianni
I was born and raised in Rome, Italy. At the age of 5 I started to study English, and at 10 I started taking French lessons. I moved to Porto in 2015, at the age of 18; I immediately fell in love with the Portuguese language, which I learned in the grammar books and in conversation with my friends from Porto. In class, she tries to give a mixture of these two forms of learning, teaching the formal rules of the language but without ever forgetting the spoken part.

I lived in Rome, Italy and moved to Porto when I was 18 years old. Since I was 16 years old I am a professional musician, having played in different musical contexts; I am a double bass student at ESMAE, Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetaculo. The musical ear helped me to develop a certain sensitivity for the phonetics and the different sounds of the languages; thanks to that, after a year in Porto most people thought i was native portuguese. Right now I intend to integrate the part of the classes with my freelance musician activity.
