About Donna
Hello, I have been an online piano teacher since 2020. I am an ISM (Independent Society of Musicians) Registered Private Teacher with an ISM approved DBS Enhanced Disclosure Certificate. I love supporting others on their musical journey because in a world where there is an over-focus on logic, the left side of the brain, there is a need for exploring our creativity and feeling a sense of accomplishment in a fun, relaxing, yet stimulating way. My training includes years of private lessons; 20+ years playing piano; ongoing learning & development to stay well-versed in current teaching trends and best practices; experience supporting church services & experience teaching beginner levels for adults & children during their first few years (absolute beginner to Grade 3). Testimonial: "I was impressed on how easily and effectively I was able to play a Christmas jingle in such a short amount of time. I didn't really have fun experiences learning the keyboard in school music classes, but I enjoyed this experience." -- Andy You know more than you realise and I love witnessing your growing confidence in music. When you learn music, you grow. Looking forward to possibly working with you. Donna, friendly online accountability partner.

I encourage students (from 9 to 90 & beyond) to learn a variety of music or if they prefer, the music they choose using a variety of methods such as play by ear (trending), reading, lead sheets, and improvisation. Music is a language, so I approach music from a sound perspective first, then written. It is a 21st century way of teaching music. I provide a psychologically safe space for learning music -- mistakes can help us learn and sometimes, they are even happy accidents! I have taught online since 2020. I love teaching a variety of ages including busy professionals who need a creative outlet. It's a great stress reliever. Yes, online lessons do work. No, it's not too late for you to learn -- Seize the Day! Lessons are 45 minutes long and are via online. I a I have been teaching piano online since 2020. I can help you get ready for exams, your GCSEs. Exams are optional.

Donna has been a great help in getting my confidence level up. As a beginner she has been able to get me to play with both hands and I no longer fear the task. If I had more than to thumbs I'd surely give her more.
Check her out!I was impressed on how easily and effectively I was able to play a Christmas jingle in such a short amount of time. I didn't really have fun experiences learning the keyboard in school music classes, but I enjoyed this experience.
Donna is a great tutor, she was able to have me playing some of my favourite songs in no time at all. Donna provides a professional service and worked with me to see how best she could help me to learn in bite size chunks. I can now play hands together and read music all under her tutelage.
As a beginner who couldn’t play anything, Donna had methods of getting me to learn to play and she takes it at your pace whilst at the same time aiming to reach goals.View more recommendations
