About Emma
I have been giving Ukulele lessons for over a year, and taught 4-11 year olds (children of key workers) in St Saviours primary school in Glasgow during the COVID-19 lockdown. I have been playing ukulele for over six years, and taught myself to play. I also play Guitar, Violin and Mandolin.
I have a few students now who love the lessons and have been regularly taught by me for a while.

Emma is simply the best teacher ever! She is incredibly patient, lessons with her are a really good laugh and most of all she’s actually making me learn how to play the ukulele - and I am an absolute beginner on all things music. In a few months I went from a resounding zero, to being able to pick up a song on my own! Best discovery of the year, would 100% recommend.

I am extremely passionate that learning is about having fun, and enjoying what you are doing, not feeling pressured into being 'perfect'. I teach using basic chords to begin with, basic technical knowledge such as string names and parts of the ukulele, and then progress onto songs that the students know to teach them chord progression and strumming. Based on the student's interest, this can also progress into songwriting, and string picking.
