About Alejandro
I am an International Chess Master with a Grandmaster norm and a maximum rating of 2508. I started in this fascinating sport-science when I was five years old and since then I have played many international tournaments including some world championships. My most relevant successes have been win in this tournaments:
Euskadi Championship, Guipuzkoa championship, Spanish Youth Championship, Paris Open, Berlin Open, etc. I have also played for more than ten seasons with Gros Xake Taldea from San Sebastián, winning Basque leagues and Spanish championships.
I have more than fifteen years of experience as a chess coach in which I have created a large amount of my own training material and openings.

My work methodology is based on four pillars:
1. Detailed analysis of the games played by the student. Reviewing and correcting the mistakes made is essential for progress.
2. Elaboration of a complete repertoire of openings that adapts to the student's style of play.
3. Explanation of strategic, tactical and endgame technical issues, adapted to the student's level, with examples.
4. Work at home by the student in exercises on the topics explained in class.
In this way all areas are covered without neglecting any and the student is trained to be a complete player.
