About Igor
Hi, I am Igor Goldenberg, one of Australia's top chess players. My achievements include winning the Victorian Chess Championship six times, including the most recent title, and earning the title of International Master in 2009, and winning numerous tournaments over the years. I also have many years of coaching experience, helping students of all levels to improve their game. My credentials can be verified through my FIDE (ID:3201970) and Australian Chess Federation (ID:3098685) profiles.

As a coach, my goal is to help you improve your understanding of chess and guide you in the right direction. I focus on identifying gaps in your knowledge and developing key skills such as endgames, calculation, tactical vision, and middle-game strategy. I also offer practical, personalised advice based on your strengths and weaknesses to help you achieve better results in actual games.
I don't aim to replace a computer — I aim to complement it. A computer tells you WHAT to play; a good coach explains WHY.
