About Maddie
Hi! I'm a highly motivated student currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program, one of the most rigorous academic programs offered internationally. The IB program has refined my organizational, time management, leadership, and collaboration skills. I've also passed 5+ AP classes and took my first college dual enrollment class as a freshman in high school.
I'm very active in extracurriculars, including 7+ years experience in the National FFA Organization and 2+ years in the Health Occupations Students of America. Participating in these organizations has allowed me to develop a love for public speaking and leadership. Noticing how the growth in confidence from extracurriculars has transferred to many aspects of my life, including my academic success, has made me a huge advocate for engagement in school outside of primarily academics.
I know how it feels to struggle with academic comparison, and I also know how overwhelming course loads can feel. My goal is to work slowly with students to strengthen their fundamental understanding and passion for subjects. This approach helps students build understanding and confidence in a supportive and enjoyable learning environment!

My teaching style adapts to what works best for the student. I emphasize building confidence in the subject, using thorough explanations, practice problems, adapting to requests from the student, and prioritizing fundamental and foundational skills rather than memorization. My main goal is to develop a positive relationship with the student so that they feel supported and comfortable in their learning process.
