About Petra
Hi, I’m Petra. I’m 43 years old and have more than 20 years of experience in education. I teach Dutch, geography, and history, both online and in secondary school.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, and meeting new people. These hobbies keep me curious, open-minded, and inspire me in my teaching.
I love helping students improve their Dutch, especially their speaking and listening skills. My lessons are interactive, practical, and focused on real communication. I’m here to help you feel confident and comfortable when speaking Dutch.
I am a patient, calm, and friendly teacher, and I always create a supportive learning environment. Respect is very important to me because I believe it makes learning more enjoyable and effective.

During the lessons, we use a course as a guideline and focus on vocabulary, grammar, and culture.
Dutch lessons from A1 to B2, adapted to your level and learning goals. We work with practical, everyday topics, grammar in context, and a strong focus on speaking and communication skills. Using structured methods such as 'Taaltalent', 'Nederlands op niveau' and 'Spreken met beeld', you will gradually improve your vocabulary, grammar, and confidence in Dutch. NT2 exam preparation is also available.
My approach is interactive: you will practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing a lot.
I make the lessons as practical and motivating as possible, so you can really start using your Dutch in everyday life. I also give homework to help you make faster progress.
Together, we work step by step on your confidence and language skills. I look forward to learning and growing together!

Ik heb twee jaar Nederlandse les gevolgd met Taaltalent 1, 2 en 3 en heb enorm veel bijgeleerd. De lessen waren altijd goed gestructureerd en alle vaardigheden kwamen aan bod. Bij elk hoofdstuk kreeg ik een duidelijke woordenlijst en een grammaticaoverzicht. Ook maakte ik wekelijks huiswerk, waarop ik steeds duidelijke feedback kreeg.
