About Lam
About Me Hello! My name is Lam Chun Pong, and I am an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Physics with Honors student from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). I am passionate about education and strongly believe that every student has the ability to succeed with the right guidance and encouragement. My strength lies in explaining complex topics in a simple, step-by-step manner that students can easily understand. I am patient, supportive, and always adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s pace and learning needs. I also provide a flexible schedule to cater to students’ availability, making it easier for them to balance tuition with school and other commitments. I specialize in teaching Mathematics, Science, and English for primary and secondary school levels (UPSR, PT3, and SPM). My lessons focus not only on improving grades but also on developing problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in learning. Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I focus on making lessons simple, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I begin by explaining concepts clearly with step-by-step examples, followed by guided exercises to reinforce understanding. I also provide regular practice questions, revision sessions, and support with school homework or assignments. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also gain confidence in learning.
Typical Duration of a Lesson
A typical lesson lasts for a minimum of 1 hour, depending on the subject(s) and the student’s needs. For younger students, lessons may be slightly shorter to keep their attention, while older students preparing for exams may prefer longer sessions with more intensive practice.
Qualifications / Experience as a Tutor
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Physics from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). While I am new to formal tutoring, I have practical experience teaching and guiding my peers during university, especially in Physics, English, and Mathematics. These sessions helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics in a simple, understandable way.
