About Mary
For over 12 years, I have been teaching Singing to students from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. I work with School students, College students, and Working Professionals, helping them develop confidence, improve vocal technique, and achieve success in music.
My teaching approach combines structure, creativity, and encouragement. I begin by understanding each student's aspirations and then create a personalised learning plan that supports their growth. I believe that every student can improve with dedication, proper guidance, and consistent practice.
My lessons cover vocal warm-ups, breathing control, pitch accuracy, rhythm development, tone quality, expression, and stage presence. Through practical exercises, performance activities, and detailed feedback, students gain the skills needed to become confident singers. I regularly monitor progress and adjust lessons to meet changing needs.
Besides Singing, I teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Performance, and Song Interpretation. These subjects help students gain a comprehensive understanding of music and strengthen their overall musicianship. I encourage creativity and self-expression while maintaining strong technical foundations.
One of my unique strengths is creating a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable learning and growing. My goal is to help learners build confidence, achieve their musical ambitions, and enjoy every step of the learning process.

My teaching methodology for Singing is built on flexibility, creativity, understanding, and effective time management. I believe that every student has a unique voice and a unique way of learning. My role as a tutor is to guide students in discovering their strengths, overcoming challenges, and developing confidence in their singing abilities.
I begin by understanding each student's goals, interests, and current skill level. Based on this information, I create personalised lesson plans that suit their learning style and pace. Whether students are beginners or advanced singers, I adapt my teaching methods to help them achieve meaningful progress.
Creativity is a vital part of my lessons. I use engaging vocal exercises, song interpretation activities, listening practices, and performance exercises to make learning enjoyable. These activities help students stay motivated while improving their technical and artistic skills.
My lessons focus on breathing techniques, pitch accuracy, vocal control, tone quality, rhythm, diction, and stage presence. Students are encouraged to practise regularly and apply what they learn through songs and performances.
Understanding and patience are at the heart of my teaching. I create a positive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and learning from mistakes.
Time management helps ensure that every lesson is balanced and productive. Sessions include warm-ups, technical development, song practice, and progress reviews.
In addition to Singing, I can teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Health, Sight Singing, and Performance Skills. My goal is to help students become confident, expressive, and skilled singers.
