About Gavin
With 11+ years of experience teaching Spanish, I have guided approximately 150–200 students towards achieving confidence and strong communication skills. My teaching philosophy focuses on personalised learning because every student deserves lessons that reflect their individual strengths, interests, and learning pace.
My classes include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking through engaging conversations, interactive activities, cultural discussions, and practical exercises. I believe real-world communication is the best way to build lasting language skills.
I maintain a positive and encouraging classroom where students feel respected, motivated, and comfortable practising without fear of making mistakes. I provide constructive feedback, personalised study recommendations, and continuous encouragement that supports steady improvement.
One of my strongest qualities is creating flexible learning plans that adapt as students progress. I simplify grammar concepts, provide customised practice materials, and help learners develop confidence through practical communication. Whether studying Spanish for school, work, travel, or personal development, I am committed to helping every student reach their goals.

I approach teaching Spanish with a student-centred methodology that is engaging, practical, and adaptable. Accountability helps learners set clear goals, monitor progress, and take ownership of their learning. Integrity ensures lessons are honest, fair, and tailored to each student’s strengths and challenges.
I use Flexibility to adapt lesson plans, exercises, and teaching strategies to match different learning styles, proficiency levels, and personal goals. Communication is at the core of my approach; I encourage conversation, discussion, and interactive practice to help students internalise grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
A Positive learning environment motivates learners, celebrates achievements, and fosters confidence. I also integrate complementary subjects such as literature, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural studies to provide context and practical tools. My goal is to help students achieve fluency, confidence, and a lasting passion for Spanish.
