About Sowmya
Hello! My name is Sowmya, and I am currently working as an IT professional in Bangalore. Alongside my career in technology, I have always been deeply connected to the Telugu language and culture. Growing up with a mother who has been a Telugu teacher for over 15 years, I naturally developed a passion for literature, poems, and songs. I have also participated in and won Telugu Bhagavad Gita competitions, which further strengthened my love for the language. I am very excited to begin this journey of online teaching. Teaching has always been close to my heart, and I have some prior offline teaching experience, which gave me the confidence and joy of sharing knowledge with others. Now, I am eager to extend that same experience to students online, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.

As a native Telugu speaker, I believe language is best learned through a mix of stories, poems, songs, and practical usage rather than just memorization. I focus on building a strong foundation in grammar while also keeping classes lively with traditional poems and cultural references.
A usual class begins with a quick recap of what we learned earlier, followed by a new concept explained through examples (like a short poem or conversation), and ends with interactive practice such as reading aloud, writing short passages, or singing a simple song. For younger learners, I bring in storytelling and rhymes; for adults, I focus more on conversation, grammar, and literature.
What makes my classes special is the inspiration I carry from home — my mother has been a Telugu teacher for 15 years, and I grew up surrounded by language, poetry, and competitions. I myself have won Telugu Bhagavad Gita competitions, which deepened my love for expression in Telugu. This allows me to teach with both passion and authenticity.
My classes are suitable for school children who want to strengthen their basics, college students who need help with literature, and adults who wish to learn or reconnect with Telugu. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone who wants to polish your skills, I adapt my teaching style to your level and goals.
