About Michael
I first got into studio and live sound as a teenager picking my GCSEs. Plan A was to become a world-famous musician, but I knew this was far fetched. I wanted to learn how I could produce my own recordings at home and I knew that BTEC Music Technology was my ticket to get there.
I achieved top marks in Music Technology BTEC Level 2, 3 and a Creative Venue Technician apprenticeship which rounded out my skills as a general theatre technician.
6 years on and I've had the pleasure of working with celebrities such as Alan Carr, Rita Simons and Karim Zeroual. I want to help you build the career you want in sound and give you the skills you need to get there.

I've worked across the live events industry and schools for 5 years where I've gotten to know and understand how our students learn best.
I like to use visual aids and analogies to help explain complex subjects, and I'm always happy to try multiple approaches if at first you don't understand. If you have teaching methodologies that you know work well for you, please let me know and I will work them into our sessions.
I also believe that demonstrations and real-world examples are key to learning best practices in the industry, and do my best to provide these when possible.
Most of my students have been at A-Level or BTEC Level 3, but I'm also comfortable teaching at GCSE and BTEC Level 2.
