About Nikita
My Approach to Teaching
I believe dance is more than learning steps—it is a way to express yourself, build confidence, and discover your own creativity.
With a lifelong passion for dance and years of performance, teaching, and choreography experience, I bring professionalism, patience, enthusiasm, and personal attention to every class.
You don’t need to be an experienced dancer to learn with me. I create a supportive, encouraging, and judgment-free environment where students can learn at their own pace and feel comfortable making progress.
I take every student’s goals seriously, whether you want to learn for fun, improve your technique, prepare for a performance, choreograph a special event, or introduce your child to Indian dance.
My goal is not just to teach you a routine, but to help you feel the music, understand the movement, express yourself, and enjoy the journey of learning dance.
Parents are welcome to share their child’s goals with me before the first class so I can tailor the lesson accordingly.

I have been dancing and performing since the age of 5, with formal training in Kathak, one of India’s beautiful classical dance traditions. Over the years, I have performed extensively, participated in and won dance competitions, taught both children and adults, and choreographed performances.
My goal is simple: I want my students to enjoy dancing while genuinely improving their skills.

I don’t believe in simply teaching a routine and expecting you to copy it.
I break choreography into simple, manageable steps, explain the rhythm and movements, and give you time to practice. As you progress, we work on expressions, musicality, coordination, and stage presence.
Whether you are a complete beginner or already have dance experience, I’ll adapt the class to your level and goals.
For children, I focus on making classes fun, engaging, and age-appropriate while helping them develop coordination, confidence, and performance skills.
For adults, classes can be a fun way to stay active, learn Bollywood choreography, reconnect with Indian culture, or simply do something you’ve always wanted to try.
