I believe in an interactive student-centered, autonomous, connective, friendly teaching style, with discussions and problem-solving methods as it is the key to attain efficient knowledge. I want my students to be at the center of their learning which helps the students in thought-provoking questions, that will make them dive deep into the content. My main focus lies in educating my student through the most convenient knowledge imparting methodology. My foundation for teaching lays in a free light and learning environment that serves as a yardstick to me and reflects in my teaching. Where my students are free to ask questions, make errors/commit mistakes and learn from their mistakes to bring out the best of their potentials. I want to develop a student-centric and focused approach when it comes to gaining knowledge so that they can easily grasp the key concepts.

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

I'm pursuing my graduation in History and Political Science(majors) from Ramjas college, Delhi university. At the same time I am also studying Geography, Philosophy, Ethics,Logic,English, Urdu.(minors)
Completed my 10+2 with 10 on 10 CGP in English, Urdu, Political Science, Geography, Functional English ( Grammar and literature).
I have always loved the diversity of subjects and knowledge that the field of social sciences has to offer.
Since I was a kid, the humanities subject has always been a fascination to me! It's the perfect blend of knowledge from all fields which helps an individual in overall development, be it personal or intellectual!
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

I'm sure we all can agree to this fact that teachers act as a building block for our society in the sense:-
Children carry what they are taught at a young age throughout the rest of their lives. They will use what they have learnt to influence society. Everyone knows that today's youth will become tomorrow's leaders, and teachers have access to educate the youth in their most impressionable years - whether that is in teaching preschool, teaching extracurricular, sports or traditional classes.
Teachers have the ability to shape leaders of the future in the best way for society to build positive and inspired future generations and therefore design society, both on a local and global scale. In reality, teachers have the most important job in the world. Those who have an impact on the children of society have the power to change lives. Not just for those children themselves, but for the lives of all.
As soon as i developed the reasoning and ability to judge while I was still young. I could see how much a teacher can influence the life of his/her student. Growing up with this thought, I came across some of the great teachers in my life. I with my whole heart acknowledge the fact that Teachers are arguably the most important members of our society. They give children purpose, set them up for success as citizens of our world, and inspire in them a drive to do well and succeed in life. The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and teachers are that critical point that makes a child ready for their future. This is my biggest motivation.
  • How does your work help society?

Teachers with their knowledge, power of educating, guidance and dedication serve as a role model to many in our societies .Teachers are the ultimate role models for students. The fact that students come into contact with many different types of teachers in their academic career means that more likely than not, there will be a teacher that speaks to them.
The teacher-student connection is invaluable for some students, who may otherwise not have that stability. Teachers will stay positive for their students even when things can seem grim. A great teacher always has compassion for their students, understanding of their students' personal lives, and appreciation for their academic goals and achievements. Teachers are role models for children to be positive, always try harder, and reach for the stars. By educating one person u educate a whole family and what else can be better service to our society than educating someone as it stays with the individual forever.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

A role model can be anybody: a parent, a sibling, a friend but some of our most influential and life-changing role models are teachers
Teacher just a word with seven letters but holds many meanings. The reason that motivates me to teach has the same essence that has inspired me. So definitely some of the amazing teachers that I met in my life are my role model in this journey. They are the ones who shaped and moulded me into the person I am and that I will become.
I was just a kid when i was , planning about what should i become when i grow up…The only thing which inspired , motivated me to go for school were my teachers. And i got my answer, Yes My Teachers My Role Models and i always wished to be a teacher since my childhood, it became my dream. They always encouraged me to do better and that's they are the reason I have been able to score so well in my boards. It's not about the grades but the ocean of knowledge that they have been pouring with the prominent results.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Apart from teaching , I am a student and a learner, so I love to learn new things and try different things, I like to read books, I'm into arts and crafts. Love to do crocheting. I also spent some of my time in gardening and in meditation.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

While I was seeking admission in my college, I had cleared the cut offs but due to some error/mistake in a document I was clearly denied the admission with no other way out and unfortunately it was the last day for seeking admission. I had lost all hope and was about to leave for home, when suddenly a man came and asked me to write an application mentioning my problem and ask them to verify the document with my sate board. I had no Idea it could be done. I thought they would never approve of it. But as he insisted I did the same. The day passed by. I thought i missed the date. But then next day, I coincidentally read in the newspaper that delhi university had extended a day more to seek admission for those who had some documental issues and luckily mine got verified the same day and I got the admitted successfully!
