Outside of my academic qualifications, my greatest strength is working with people. I have extensive leadership experience as Operations Director of ATX Science Olympiad (where I was in charge of logistics of biannual tournaments that drew over a thousand participants) and a Philanthropic VP of Future Doctors of America at the University of Texas at Austin. Thus, I have great experience working with people to overcome adversity and achieving great things. My teaching style is based on the needs of the student. Throughout my experiences, I have learned that everyone learns, problem solves, and conceptualizes differently. If there is ambiguity or lack of direction from the student, I will work with you to draw up a plan based on my experiences.
What sets me apart is my patience and understanding. I have spent my entire life working with people, whether it be as a TA, volunteering as a contact tracer, or my job as a Patient Attendant during my undergrad. My biggest takeaway from these jobs is that there is always something going on behind the scenes. Thus, my lesson plans and teaching style with emphasize flexibility and understanding.
