About Sydney
At Amity High school near New Haven, CT, I have maintained a weighted gpa of 4.9 (out of 5) and have taken a total of 8 AP classes, two of which were English related (Ap Lang and Ap Lit). In school, I am a volunteer peer (all subjects) and writing tutor, and have recently taken on paid online tutoring jobs to help with college essay writing, science, Spanish, and general academic writing. I also have a passion for creative writing and can assist students in that area.

In English, I will typically read through a students work and leave comments as well as give oral feedback. I will help students understand what they specifically need to improve, though I will not write anything for them. If they have not yet written anything, I will help them to brainstorm and to outline a potential piece. If the tutoring is non-English, I will base my plan on the assignment or topic that they are struggling with.
