Hello I'm Alex! Fully qualified (QTS) mathematics teacher, with a PGCE qualification in secondary mathematics from the university of Exeter; alongside my bachelor's degree in Economics.

I currently work FT, teaching GCSE AQA syllabus mathematics within a school in north Devon. My key teaching skills are motivation, questioning and assessment.
If you're looking to improve your final GCSE mathematics grade, you've come to the right place! My diagnostic approach to tutoring, will allow me to discover areas of improvement, making learning more efficient and effective at plugging any gaps in your knowledge.
I try to make my lessons fun and engaging subsequently keeping student concentration and engagement levels high. I use a range of modern teaching methods, all backed by experience within the classroom and available education literature. Lessons will include: diagnostic assessment, quizzes, games, AFL, worksheets, questioning, mock exams, exam technique, revision technique and much more! Every lesson will be designed and tailored to your specific needs and areas of improvement.
