About Fintan
I have an extensive academic background with a Master's in Engineering from the University of Sheffield and an MSc in Computational Science from Imperial College London and 3 years' experience as an engineer. With 6 years in higher education I have a deep understanding of how to learn, how to pass exams and how to break down technical concepts into a digestible format to make learning as easy as possible.

I take a practical approach to teaching and believe the best way to learn is by doing. I take students through guided steps, ensuring the difficulty is just beyond their current capability for effective and engaging lessons in which they are learning and developing at every step. I enjoy developing a good relationship with my students, understanding their academic needs as well as them as a person. I have taught over 50 students between GCSE up to university level with exam preparation for maths and computing.
