About Seamus
I am currently entering the third and penultimate year of my undergraduate physics degree at Imperial College London. In my GCSEs, I attained the highest grades in my school, with 10 grade 9s, including Maths and Further Maths; in my A levels, I attained 3 A*s in Maths, Physics, and Further Maths, and an A in Chemistry. During my studies, I developed a love of learning and exploring the unknown, a passion I hope to cultivate and share with my tutees. Furthermore, when I was a teaching intern, the greatest joy I found in that role was that light-bulb moment when the clouds of obscurity cleared, and the facts revealed themselves. These joyful moments inspire me to be a better tutor and to get the best out of my students.

A typical lesson will be 1 hour long and online, with most of the lesson time focused on practice questions. I encourage students to ask questions and create a supportive learning environment in which they feel comfortable making mistakes, as this is where the real progress is made. Furthermore, I aim to break down complex topics and lay the foundation for the student to grasp these abstract ideas. With my experience as a Teaching Intern, I can adapt to the student at hand and patiently answer any questions they may have. Lastly, I aim to instil a love of learning, not only in maths, but in general and the study skills to do so.
