About Royce
I am currently an MSci Mathematics student at Imperial College London, and I know exactly what it takes to achieve at the highest academic level. Having scored 98% in A-Level Mathematics and 93% in Further Mathematics (alongside 4 A*s overall and 11 Grade 9s at GCSE), I understand both the dedication and the specific techniques required to excel.
Since September 2022, I have been tutoring privately and with Kumon, helping many students reach their goals across GCSE and A-Level. My proudest moment as a tutor was taking a student with absolutely no background in Further Mathematics and guiding them directly to an A* predicted grade. I am deeply passionate about my subject, and because I have recently navigated the highly competitive university admissions process myself, I know how to help ambitious students unlock their absolute best.

My lessons are student-centred and quite relaxed, focusing on discovery and precision. Maths can often feel overwhelming, so I focus on creating a supportive space where students feel completely comfortable making mistakes. Making mistakes is how we learn, and I actively encourage my students to stop me the second a concept doesn't make sense so we can rebuild it together.
I specialise in A-Level Maths, Further Maths and the TMUA. In our sessions, we don't just memorise the specification or content, we build genuine mathematical intuition and discover the 'why'. I focus on breaking down complex mark schemes and tackling the hardest past-paper questions step-by-step. If a student learns best visually, we draw it out; if they need rigid, logical steps, we build a framework.
