About Sophie
My name is Sophie and I relocated back to Ireland after 6 years in London. During my time in London, I studied Biochemistry at Imperial College London, graduating with a 2:1, and have 2 years experience working in a childhood sightloss charity in both a fundraising role and a teaching role.
Now, after a year and a half back in Ireland, I work as a part-time tutor alongside my day job as a recruitment consultant within the charity and IT sector.

I take an approach centring around pedagogical content knowledge, meaning that a key way that students learn is to make lessons highly memorable and focus on methods to make the "stuff" interesting! I really don't agree with learning by wrote, and if a student comes out of my lesson having only copied down what I have said, I wouldn't be doing my job correctly!
