About Oliver
I’m a fourth-year MSci Geophysics student at Imperial College London, with a strong interest in how Earth and planetary systems work. My undergraduate dissertation focused on seismic analysis in New Zealand, and I’ll soon be starting a Master’s project modelling crater basins on Mars. Beyond my academic work, I’ve taken on individual coding projects such as fluid dynamics simulations, and I enjoy reading philosophical texts and staying up to date with global geological events and discoveries. I’m especially interested in helping students see how subjects like Maths, Chemistry, and Coding connect to real-world systems and current research. I aim to make tutoring sessions clear, engaging, and tailored to the student. Whether it's breaking down difficult theory or working through past paper questions, I want to help build confidence as well as knowledge.

I offer tutoring for GCSE and A Level students, particularly in Maths, Physics (focusing on overlap with Earth Science), Chemistry, and Coding (Python & C++) as well as support with essay-based subjects like Philosophy. While I’m new to formal tutoring, I’ve often helped classmates and friends grasp difficult concepts by breaking them down clearly and simply. I'm familiar with effective revision and exam strategies for both STEM and humanities subjects. My lessons are usually 45–50 minutes long and structured around a mix of theory and practice questions to reinforce understanding and boost confidence.
