About Ellen
I empathize with every artist looking for that golden balance between pushing their technique to the next level and breaking apart from the guidelines to find creative release. Making art is about showing up to practice, course-correcting, and communicating with oneself, but I will also help you to access knowledge of artists and theory you didn't have before.
I have an advanced background in impressionist oil painting, a personal approach to narrative illustrations, and experience planning classes for all ages.

Utilize drawing, color theory, and artist references to unlock your creative expression.
We begin with the basics, and then tailor the program to your interests. These sessions are for artists at every stage who are looking for flexibility, collaborative feedback, and technical advice grounded in drawing and painting skills.
I will guide you through your creative interests, identify appropriate materials and resources at your price point, and encourage you to turn your idea into a project.
