About Umang
Hi! I am Umang. I am a research scholar. My current research interest includes Algebraic Number Theory and Elliptic Curves. I have always been fascinated by the idea that how much mathematics can be built from a few simple axioms and ideas.
I genuinely love to teach mathematics. More than that I love the feeling when students understand something complex and they say "wow! I can literally see why it works".

I like to teach mathematics in a way where ideas, theorems, proofs and generalizations do not feel forced or they have appeared magically from somewhere. From my experience in learning and teaching, I have observed that when you work through a lot of examples or try to think about theorems intuitively and sometimes visualize them geometrically, that theorem, that idea, that proof becomes obvious. But again the important thing is to teach students how to convert those Ideas/ intuitions to rigorous proofs and precise statements. Being a research scholar myself I take utmost care in that.
