About Hussein
Hi! My name is Hussein, a Medical Student at the University of Cambridge. I achieved 3 A*s at A-level and 11 9's at GCSE and I have 5 years of private tutoring experience with students, from the ages of 10 to 18 years, in Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English. My hobbies include basketball, football and weight lifting. I want to teach as I enjoy helping students progress and increase in confidence. I find teaching an especially rewarding process and I believe teaching is extremely important and is used in a variety of careers from Teachers themselves to Doctors and also Engineers, etc.

When teaching, I like to first set objectives of what the students look to achieve from the session. I then introduce them to the subject from a broad perspective and test their current understanding before thoroughly covering the gaps in their knowledge. Afterwards, I work closely with them through worksheets and exam questions to consolidate the information and aid them in the application of it. Alongside my 5 years of private tutoring experience, I have also previously run a medicine club where I worked with large groups of students to provide them with an insight into medicine through presentations and live dissections. Additionally, I worked closely with them on a one-to-one basis where I explained complex topics in simpler ways they found more relatable. My lessons are usually 1-2 hours long and I teach students from the ages of 10-18 at KS2, GCSE and A level.

Hussein is a fantastic student and tutor. Having seeing him flourish at school, it’s great to see him pass his learnings down to benefit others. Achieving excellent academic results himself, he has been able to guide students to reach top grades. Highly recommended.
Hussein is an extremely good tutor. He is able to break down complicated ideas so that they are very easy to understand. He also uses well made resources and understands how his students' learn best. Hussein also provides really good exam question walkthroughs- explaining both the content needed but also the Mark Scheme requirements which definitely helps to boost my grades!
Hussein has been an exceptional guide, providing personalized attention, expertise, and unwavering support that have significantly improved my mathematical skills and fostered a passion for the subject. I highly recommend his services.
Hussein is a very talented tutor that has increased my confidence in my subjects and has always been punctual and supportive.
I have been tutored by Hussein before and he is extremely patient and respectful. He has taught me effective methods that have allowed me to achieve 8 grade 9’s at GCSE
