About Hussein
Hi! My name is Hussein, a Medical Student at the University of Cambridge. I achieved 3 A*s at A-level and 11 9's at GCSE and I have 5 years of private tutoring experience with students, from the ages of 10 to 18 years, in Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English. My hobbies include basketball, football and weight lifting. I want to teach as I enjoy helping students progress and increase in confidence. I find teaching an especially rewarding process and I believe teaching is extremely important and is used in a variety of careers from Teachers themselves to Doctors and also Engineers, etc.

When teaching, I like to first set objectives of what the students look to achieve from the session. I then introduce them to the subject from a broad perspective and test their current understanding before thoroughly covering the gaps in their knowledge. Afterwards, I work closely with them through worksheets and exam questions to consolidate the information and aid them in the application of it. Alongside my 5 years of private tutoring experience, I have also previously run a medicine club where I worked with large groups of students to provide them with an insight into medicine through presentations and live dissections. Additionally, I worked closely with them on a one-to-one basis where I explained complex topics in simpler ways they found more relatable. My lessons are usually 1-2 hours long and I teach students from the ages of 10-18 at KS2, GCSE and A level.
