About Elspeth
I love to share the joy of creating and exploring art with anyone who is interested. I am currently studying BA(Hons) Illustration at UWE, Bristol, having completed my UAL Level-3 Art&Design Foundation Diploma at Oxford Brookes the year prior, which encouraged experimentation, self-discipline and widened my understanding of the opportunities in the art world.
My work is multidisciplinary, mostly focused on drawing, painting and installation but often working with animation, photography, music and sculpture. On top of this I have a heavy interest in community, fashion and all things weird and wonderful. I also express myself as a dancer, pianist and through language, both literary and linguistic, specifically my French studies, which informs my art practice.
I would like to offer my abilities and understanding of being an art student in order to help others flourish in whatever creative pathway they take, aiming to inspire playfulness and confidence.

I offer student-specific sessions with constructive feedback and technical advice, taking a friendly teaching approach so that my students feel relaxed and confident in their work.
30 minutes - 1.30 hrs, timing is dependent on what you want out of the session. Online — in person may be organised depending on location.
Having completed GCSE Fine Art, A Level Fine Art & Design and an Art & Design Foundation, and now a second year illustration student, I have years of recent experience going through each level of education, so am able to provide relevant support from the perspective of whoever I am tutoring. As a practising artist, I have been engaging in regular group critiques for the last four years in which I discuss work and give feedback to my peers. I have also advised friends on their portfolios and have run informal art lessons/workshops for those who were interested.
My sessions are open to all ages, whether you would like extra support studying at school, figuring out how create the best portfolio for university, or you are an adult who would love to develop your creative abilities and try something new!
