As a committed Honors Physics student at McMaster University, I bring both strong academic training and a deep respect for the learning process. My tutoring style is student-centered and flexible. I start by identifying where a student is struggling or unsure, and then tailor my explanations to their learning style—whether they prefer visual aids, analogies, step-by-step problem solving, or conceptual discussions. I emphasize problem-solving strategies, intuition, and linking theory to real-world examples to build confidence and lasting understanding.
A Typical Lesson
Each session starts with a quick review of previous material and questions the student might have. From there, we’ll focus on the current topic through examples and active problem solving, gradually increasing difficulty. I guide students through how to analyze problems, identify patterns, and think like a physicist or mathematician, rather than simply getting to the right answer.
What Sets Me Apart
As a current student myself, I understand the challenges of learning these subjects firsthand. I know how overwhelming Physics and Math can feel, and I aim to make them less intimidating, more structured, and even enjoyable. I strive to build a strong academic connection with each student, so they feel supported and empowered to ask questions and grow.

Perfect! Damian has an easygoing style which keeps my 16 year old son's attention while tackling the areas in which we have been having the biggest struggles. This is our 1st experience with not only a tutor, but with SuperProf as well. I really wish we didn't wait so long, and look forward to watching my son's confidence in academics increase!
Perfect! He's super patient and he doesn't overcomplicate things more than it should be. he's always more than willing to help out and he really helped me with gaining a great understanding of basic kinematics, Damian's a great choice as a tutor!
