About Shweta
I’m a third-year honors college student studying mathematics and geospatial sciences. Ever since I started high school, I’ve been tutoring students of all ages and grades in mathematics. As a student that understands the difficulty of understanding the complexities of mathematics, I make sure to adapt my approach with each student to help them get the most out of each lesson. My goal is to help my students learn the “why” in math rather than just the “how”.

I like to personalize my lessons to meet each individual student’s needs. By understanding what learning style works best, I create lesson plans for each day to help the student stay engaged. My teaching method consists of explaining why a concept is such, rather than just how. I like to take the time to help my students understand the basics behind the concept rather than just how to find the answer. I teach any grade starting from kindergarten up to 12th grade, including subjects like algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus. I also help with SAT math prep for students preparing to take the SAT.
