About Roxanna
Hi! I’m a high school student offering homework help and tutoring for elementary and Grade 9 students, with some support for Grade 11 biology. I’m passionate about helping students understand their work in a simple and clear way. I know that school can feel overwhelming sometimes, so I focus on breaking things down step-by-step and making learning easier and less stressful. Because I’ve learned with an IEP myself, I understand that everyone learns differently. I always try my best to adapt to each student’s learning style and explain things in ways that make sense to them. My approach is patient and supportive, and I focus on building confidence while helping students improve their understanding and problem-solving skills. Whether it’s homework help, studying, or preparing for tests, I’m here to support you. I offer both online and in-person sessions on select days (such as Mondays or Saturdays), preferably in locations between Aurora and Richmond Hill or at a nearby library.

My lessons are focused on helping students understand concepts and find patterns in a simple and clear way, rather than just memorizing answers, and blanking on tests. I break things down step-by-step and make sure students feel comfortable asking questions. I try my best to adapt each lesson to the way the student learns, so they can understand the material in a way that works best for them. I also help with study methods, organization, and ways to approach homework more effectively. For each session, please let me know a couple days in advance (or at least the day before) what you would like to work on. This allows me to prepare a simple lesson plan and make sure the session is organized and helpful. My goal is to create a supportive and stress-free environment where students can build confidence and improve over time.
