About Marius Sanjeewa

I hold a first-degree BSc (Hons)in System Engineering from the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom, and a Master's degree in Computing from Wrexham Glyndwr University, UK. With over 16 years of experience, I have been dedicated to the field of computer science education. Teaching seems to be ingrained in my family, passed down through generations. My father, Dr. Felician Kithsiri Jayasuriya, is an esteemed English teacher at IEM Institute, while my grandfather, Gerald Jayasuriya, was a notable mathematics teacher. Additionally, my aunt, Seetha Jayasuriya, is recognized as an accomplished English teacher, and my sister, Nishani Jayasuriya, excels as a music teacher. Together, we form a lineage of well-regarded and skilled educators.

In my computer science lessons, I employ a tailored approach that caters to individuals at various skill levels. I start with foundational concepts, ensuring everyone grasps the basics. As learners progress, I adjust my teaching techniques to accommodate their unique learning styles, strengths, and challenges.

For beginners, I offer clear explanations, interactive demonstrations, and hands-on exercises to build a strong understanding of fundamental principles. As students become more confident, I introduce real-world applications and problem-solving scenarios to deepen their comprehension.

For those already well-versed in computer science, I delve into advanced topics, encouraging critical thinking and independent exploration. I foster collaborative discussions, engaging students in peer-to-peer knowledge sharing and debates on cutting-edge trends.

Adapting to diverse learning preferences, I incorporate visual aids, interactive simulations, coding projects, and even gamification elements to keep the material engaging and relevant. Regular assessments help track progress, allowing me to fine-tune my approach and address individual needs effectively.

Ultimately, my goal is to empower each student to achieve mastery in computer science by tailoring my teaching techniques to their unique journey, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.
