About Betty
Have you ever tried to speak a language without understanding the culture behind it? My teaching philosophy centers on the idea that listening practice is just as vital as speaking.
We will spend time analyzing the nuances between Latin American and Castilian Spanish so you can choose the path that fits your goals. My lessons are designed for adults and exam candidates who need to reach a high level of proficiency through rigorous grammar study.
I use my 13 years of experience to guide you through complex verb conjugation without making the process feel like a chore. We will build your vocabulary through reading comprehension exercises that highlight real world usage. You will learn to speak with accuracy and confidence in any setting. I want you to feel comfortable using the language in your daily life.

Adult learners often come to me when they need to bridge the gap between simple vocabulary and genuine CONVERSATIONAL FLUENCY. I am a native Spanish speaker from Madrid who has navigated the differences between Latin American and Castilian variants for 13 years. Teaching grammar and verb conjugation requires a patience I developed over a long career working with 227 students.
I find that teens and intermediate learners appreciate my focus on cultural context because it makes the language feel alive. I have supported many people through exam prep like DELE and DELF. It is rewarding to watch a student master reading comprehension. I just enjoy the process of sharing my heritage.
