About Ciara
My name is Ciara and I just completed my undergraduate degree in English and History! I'm very passionate about both subjects, and received a H1 for English in my Leaving Certificate, but when I was in school I found some of the texts difficult to understand and study. I eventually found my own ways to make my notes and preparation more interesting, and I want to share that with students now to help them achieve whatever score they're aiming for! I'm taking a year out at the moment before I begin my Professional Master's to become a qualified secondary school teacher, so more experience in tutoring would be beneficial for me as well!

I offer guidance and support to Junior and Leaving Cycle students, aiming to help them approach texts in a way that feels more engaging and memorable for them. I also offer exam guidance and preparation, and sample essay answers, to help students feel more confident when approaching questions themselves. Additionally, I will proofread and analyze students' essays to suggest ways they may be able to improve their prose or make simple grammar adjustments. I have experience tutoring students with dyslexia, and am familiar with the recurrent poets and core texts for both cycles.
