About Samuel
Since 2021, I have been a part of the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Ambassador Community, eventually being elevated to Regional Ambassador in 2023.
Since being a part of the Ambassador Community, I have attended various events offered by the Trust, such as the annual Ambassador’s Conference which has resulted in me listening to academics like Dr. Bea Lewkowicz, Director of the AJR Refugee Voices Testimony Archive and Dr. Philip Spencer of Birbeck University. By meeting and listening to academics, they have resulted into a deeper understanding of the Holocaust that has expanded on my preexisting knowledge of Holocaust studies.
The Trust has invited me to study visits that have helped broaden my understanding of the Judaism and the relevancy of the Holocaust through antisemitism, accompanied with the severity of antisemitism in environments such as Israeli and German embassies in London, and the British embassy in Israel, to individuals from the Board of Deputy of the Jews to Chief Rabbi, Sir Ephraim Mervis. Other study visits, such as to Israel, studying in the School of Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem, has enabled me to understand and appreciate the unique lessons that the Holocaust has given history, as well as offering new perspectives when studying the Holocaust.
Because of these opportunities that the Trust have offered, I have been equipped with knowledge that has allowed me to spread Holocaust knowledge and testimonies of Holocaust survivors to over 1,300 students and at least 100 members of the public and hopefully you as well.

As a Regional Ambassador for the Holocaust Educational Trust, one of my roles is to spread awareness of and educate people about the Holocaust across all ages. By offering these lessons to you, whether you are in secondary school, sixth form or out of learning, you have the chance to investigate the various lenses of Holocaust studies.
Using reputable sources that come from respectable charities, like the Holocaust Educational Trust to museums such as the Wiener Holocaust Library and Yad Vashem, the world Holocaust remembrance center, the lessons that are provided to you will be equipped with information that is widely respected by academics in their fields.
By exploring the unique lenses of Holocaust studies, you will be able to broaden your knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust, its relationship with countries in Europe and around the world, as well as applying your knowledge to testimonies of Holocaust survivors.
With a hybrid of online and in person learning, you can tailor these lessons to how you want to learn. If you wish to do it for one hour or more once a week, or a month, it is completely up to you. This is your learning and I want you to get the best out of it.
