About Amorena
I am Amorena, history student and excited to help students score high on their history exam. I did a half-year internship and taught classes at the Oostvaarders College and I also taught a number of students online through superprof, they obtained their exams and diplomas.
Students that I help develop how they should analyze sources, how to develop their vocabulary needed to answer the tests questions and to teach them confidence in their own abilities.

To score high on the history exam a student must:
- see connections between different themes and times
- have reading skills
- argue
- understand the questions asked
- analyse sources
- formulate answers
- understand historical terms
In my classes I focus on helping the student develop these things.
I do that through working on every indifivusal chapter with the student, I ask them questions to make them conscious of connections between themes and developments in history. By asking questions the student gets challenged to argue better, and the other way around too, when they ask me a question they can learn from my arguments. These conversations are also important for development of the students' vocabulary.
We will also make many mock exams, including questions with sources, so that the student can understand the questions fully, besides that they will learn how to develop their answers and learn how to abstract the right information from sources.

Excellent! Ik ben zeer tevreden over de geschiedenisbijlesdocent van mijn zoon. Zij is betrokken, goed voorbereid en komt elke les met een duidelijke structuur en plan. Wat ik erg waardeer, is dat zij ook buiten de lessen om beschikbaar was, wat veel vertrouwen en ondersteuning geeft.
Daarnaast heeft zij in ons geval echt rekening gehouden met onze persoonlijke situatie. Ze heeft haar aanpak hierop aangepast, wat ervoor heeft gezorgd dat mijn zoon zich beter begrepen en ondersteund voelde.

Ik heb samen als stagiaire met Amorena gewerkt op het Oostvaarders college voor Havo, VWO en gymnasium.
Tijdens onze periode heb ik Amorena in actie gezien voor de klas. Ze oefent geduld en rust uit. Ook is ze ontzettend vriendelijk en gedreven om iedere leerling niet alleen gezien te doen voelen, maar ook om de leerstof voor iedereen toegankelijk te maken.
Met andere woorden, Amorena maakt voor iedere leerling de tijd om de stof in hapklare stukken op te breken, zodat de leerling de stof begrijpt.
Nog een sterk voorbeeld van Amorena is haar lesmateriaal dat ze heeft gemaakt. Eén van haar leerlingen was kleurenblind en ze heeft hier altijd rekening mee gehouden.
Amorena straalt wanneer ze eén op eén tijd heeft met leerlingen. Bij deze raad ik Amorena aan als superprof voor iedereen die hulp nodig heeft met geschiedenis.
