About Sophie
I have a keen passion for history having studied history and politics at the University of York. From here I taught aboard in China, and have travelled extensively. Working with children inspired me to train to be a teacher where I have loved creating lessons to challenge my students.
Due to covid I have a wealth of experience engaging students in an online capacity.
I started a new women's football team which I now captain, and I enjoy making fitness sessions for my team.

I am qualified history teacher (PGCE and QTS) and my ambitions are to bring energy and enthusiasm to make learning memorable.
I have taught history for 3 years at a grammar school and have experience teaching 11-18 year old's.
I also have considerable experience with sport and was head of girls sport. I have a particular passion for fitness, tennis and football. I believe that good physical health is linked to great learning and positive mental well being.
I am more than happy to tutor students of any age.
