About Patty

I graduated from Point Park University in 2018 with a BA in History. I have been working with students since 2016 in a variety of settings, from public school to personal tutoring. I have experience tutoring subjects such as world history, geography, US history, German, and English literature.

About the lesson

I take a cultural approach to teaching history, meaning not only do I focus on events but also on the people who made it happen and who it affected. History is more than just memorizing dates and names; the study of history involves critically thinking about cause and effect.
