About Beth
I have previously been a history tutor in a secondary school, teaching students both one on one and in small groups. These students were all lower set pupils who were struggling to keep up in class. After working with them, they all improved their grades by at least one level after working with me. One improved by three levels, which was amazing.
Alongside history, I also have expertise in English and journalism. I am a professional journalist who has been writing for a living for the past seven years. I am passionate about close language analysis within English literature - especially within poetry.
My teaching style is interactive. I want my students to explore topics holistically and to be empowered to make connections independently. I work at the pace of my students and am led by their learning styles and preferences.
