About Moriah
I have studied history throughout my life; history has been my favourite subject for years. Studying history at a higher level throughout my undergraduate degree resulted in my passion for the subject to vastly increase alongside my knowledge of history. I have done work experience at a local school which allowed me to learn skills such as interacting with younger pupils in a friendly and educational manner. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I developed key skills such as recognising viable essay structures and writing techniques alongside successful study methods. These skills are extremely beneficial to an ambitious student of history. I ensure that my pupils attain the grades that they are capable of achieving.

I tutor GCSE History, A-level history and English at a GCSE level. Moreover, I mentor and offer guidance on personal statements and submitted work. I can help students to develop essay writing techniques and research and study skills. In my tutoring I like to use a step by step approach, filling in gaps with relevant subject knowledge, resulting in high-grade essays. I start my lessons with a brief 10-minute history recall exercise which includes the revision of key events and dates. I follow this up with historical discussions and debates which promote critical thinking in the topic area. For students with upcoming exams, I go through practice questions and plan answers to ensure that the pupil reaches their target grade. I am looking for an ambitious, driven and hardworking student who wishes to reach the upper echelons of their potential.
