About Erin
I have been working as a tutor since I was 13, when I began volunteering at the elementary school, teaching kids to read. It was something I really enjoyed doing and watching the kids succeed was one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. It seemed only natural to begin tutoring professionally when I went to graduate school. Now, almost 10 years after completing my masters, I have worked with hundreds of struggling students both as a tutor and most recently as an online instructor. These students are often labeled as trouble makers or difficult learners, when the reality is is that they just need a little extra help that the teacher can't provide or they are a different kind of learner and they need certain lessons adapted to their individual learning style. It is my passion to provide these kids the help that they need. I cater my teaching style to the individual needs of the students and make the experience as fun and light as possible while still getting the job done. I want my students to look forward to their tutoring sessions.

My methodology is based on passion, I want my students to be as excited about the world as I am. We find the exciting stories in history, the fascinating case studies in psychology. We go beyond what the basic text tells us to find a world where intrigue and curiosity drive and motivate to ask more questions, to learn more, to remember more.
