About Harper

One thousand four hundred and sixty. Thats exactly the number of days in four years-also how many days I've been studying history. Because of that super long stretch of time, I can tell you everything you need or want to know about European history, basic geography, and American history.

About the lesson

Learning history and geography is, yes, very boring at times. Nevertheless, I believe that learning these two topics are very important in order to bring comprehension to different cultures, people patterns, and general knowledge of our world map. So, I try to make learning these topics go from uninteresting and boring, to thought provoking and interesting. The grade weighing and example of a simple unit is below-

Grade Weighing;
*Tests/Quizzes = 70%
*Lesson/Vocab checks = 20%
*Effort/Participation = 10%

Unit - Ancient Greece;

Lesson 1 - Greek History vocab[(important people, places, and words)occasional vocab checks and a vocab quiz]

Lesson 2 - The different Greek city-states and their niches.

Lesson 3 - Athens(culture, achievements, people and geography, et cetera)

-Vocab Check

Lesson 4 - Sparta(culture, achievements, people and geography, et cetera)

-All Lesson Check

Lesson 5 - Greek Philosophers[(their philosophies and ideals)their life story and death]

- Vocab Check

Lesson 6 - Persian invasion(important battles, people, geohistory, war outcomes and repercussions)

-Vocab Quiz

Lesson 7 - Fall of Greece to Rome(how it happened, battles, and people, et cetera)
