About Laennek
I am a teacher who enjoys learning and willingly shares your concerns, questions, and inquiries. I have worked with high school and university students for several years, which is why I have accumulated valuable experience with different generations of young people.
Similarly, in my previous work experiences I was fortunate to work with various adult audiences. In those jobs I was in charge of the cultural programming and the offer of extra-academic training activities.
I have studies in Political Science and History at UNAM. I have also worked as a copyeditor and as a research assistant.

For several years I have been teaching seminars and courses in which we study contemporary audiovisual culture, the history of cinema, and cinematographic discourses. Our purpose is the formation of attentive and critical spectators, that we appreciate the films as sources of joy and as fruitful tools of thought.
My method consists in the screening of selected films (by authors, periods or thematic criteria ), the formal and narrative analysis of them, the problematization of their aesthetic, narrative and conceptual aspects, in such a way that we reflect on the ideological, cultural and epistemological implications of audiovisual discourses, mainly cinematographic.
[N ] For this reason it is important that the participants intervene with ease, rigor and sufficient confidence to express their opinions and to present their own critical observations on what we comment on in each of the sessions.
The sessions have a maximum duration of 100 minutes and we use various pedagogical resources: templates, images (screenshots) and movie sequences. Likewise, we include texts (essays, articles, novels) as complements to those we study in each session.
My seminars and courses are aimed at university and graduate students, professionals and the general public who do have a true interest in cinematographic or audiovisual culture and its respective influences on the societies of our time.
