About Emily
I would like you to understand that I’m going to help the best I can. Math can be frustrating at times but I will use the utmost professionalism. You on the other hand don’t have to. (A little joke there.) I want you to be able to learn however you see fit. Everyone has a different style and way of doing things. I’d like to move around you. Whether you need to hear it out loud or write it over. Even doing things hands on. It can all be done with geometry. I’d like to cater around what suits you best. I also know it can be super difficult at first. What does one do when all they see is a bunch of letters and numbers scrambled on a page with a triangle? It can be overwhelming and I’d like to help with that.

I can go as slow or as fast as you need me to. I would first have you memorize all shapes and formulas. Once you have that down you can basically do anything. Although, after I would teach you how to use a protractor and ruler. Then we just put the two together. I would have graphing as well as being able to handle it yourself. When I was in school I had to put my hands on it. If you’re like me I would have you cut out shapes and sizes of things like squares and triangles. I would let you see them and see how you can use your protractor to measure whatever shape you please. We would have to understand the area of the shape and how we got there. We would have to understand which angles gave us those areas. Also the circumference of some shapes. Which is another formula. We could use flash cards for the formulas, so you can see them. We could use flash cards so you can write them out if that suits you more. We could read them out loud if that’s best. However you learn Id like to cater towards. I always thought the one way learning taught in basic public school just didn’t make sense. I want to help you learn the WAY you learn.
