About Jackson
Join Acting with Action! I’m Action Jackson, a Directors Guild of America award-winning writer/director and acting coach. I’ve lived and worked in Hollywood CA for the last 10 years and just moved back to the DFW metroplex. I have my MFA in directing from the number 1 ranked film school in the world, the American Film Institute. I have coached and trained actors who have appeared in films, tv, commercials, and theatre stages. Some of their credits include (All-American, The Vince Staples Show, Hamilton, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Last Man Standing, 9-1-1, NCIS, My Wife and Kids, The Jamie Foxx Show, Queen Sugar, Dr. Pepper commercials, Apple commercials,
At&T commercials, and more). I learned improv from my training under The Groundlings Theater & Karen Maruyama who starred in Whose Line is it Anyway? I’ve also worked alongside notable stars such as Denzel Washington and Martin Lawrence.
