About Ajit
My background: As a student I excelled at GCSE achieving all A*’s and A’s, and at A level I achieved all A*’s in physics, maths and chemistry, as well as being awarded the J.F. Crump Prize for the highest mark in physics in my year group. At University, I completed a master’s in physics with first class honours. My interest areas included magnetism and superconductivity, and my final year project was entitled “the investigation of frustrated magnetic materials using electron spin resonance techniques”. I have a Level 3 qualification in tutor training and certified tutor status. I am also a registered member of the Tutors’ Association. Additionally, I create teaching resources which are used in schools, all of my resources are available to my tutees free of charge. In my free time, I play a lot of cricket and tennis, and I partake regularly in my local squash league (with mixed results!). I respond to all messages so please feel free to enquire about anything.

My name is Ajit and I am a physics graduate from the University of Warwick. I am a certified tutor with a very high success rate, and I adopt a patient and thorough teaching style. I tutor face-to-face and online. I respond to all enquiries. I have a keen interest in all sciences and maths and aim to pass my knowledge and enthusiasm on to my tutees. I currently tutor the following subjects across all exam boards: - GCSE Maths - GCSE Physics - GCSE Chemistry - GCSE Biology - A Level Maths - A Level Physics As well as tuition, I offer the following services at no extra cost: - Individualised homework assignments. - Regular feedback reports for parents. - Regular marked assessments. I have accumulated over 4000 hours of tutoring experience, over 1000 hours of which has been online. I am willing to travel to you for tuition (call-outs), I can also accommodate you travelling to me (call-ins). For online tuition, I run sessions via Zoom which make use of an interactive whiteboard and online resources. The dual monitor display that I use has proven to be a very effective and easy to follow method of learning for tutees, many now actually prefer this method. Discounted rates are available for online tuition and call-ins. To ensure maximum benefit, I only offer tuition recurring on a weekly basis until the completion of the final exams. I adapt my teaching style towards the specific needs of my tutee. I focus on two main areas: 1. Theory: Identify knowledge gaps in subject content and cover these topics until they are fully understood. 2. Problem-solving: I work together with my tutee to solve problems and exam questions. We start with easy questions and progressively work our way towards high-tier exam questions, clearly identifying where marks have been lost or gained. As the tutee gains more confidence, the difficulty level is increased until they are able to answer questions with minimal or no assistance at all.
